RVing with Pets
Your RV is your home away from home, but when traveling with your pets treating your RV like a house on wheels could have disastrous consequences.
If RVing is a new experience for your pet, you’ll need to be mindful of your pet’s anxiety levels when you wish to spend time away from your RV. Additionally, have preparations in place to keep your pet cool while away – a battery-powered, portable fan may work well when you cannot leave your RV on generator power.
For pets who are accustomed to lounging on furniture, protect your RV interior with seat covers, and be sure to vacuum hair up as often as you can to prevent pet odors from taking over your RV.
Lastly, schedule time for stops when traveling with your pet. Pets need bathroom breaks and time to stretch their legs and exercise just like we do.
