merica's Independence Day celebrations are taking off with a bang! We'd like to let you know about some of the best fireworks destinations throughout America. Southern Celebrations
- Orlando, FL - Starting near the home of Gilbert RV Insurance, Epcot at Walt Disney World has a stunning 4th of July fireworks show lasting over 25 minutes. In addition to dazzling fireworks, this show includes laserlight effects, bursts of fire, and surges of water from floating fountains all synchronized with a stirring soundtrack.
- New Orleans, LA - "Go 4th on the River", New Orleans' annual tribute to American independence, takes place on the east bank of the Mississippi river but can be seen from both sides. This astounding show features dueling barges which launch their fireworks every 4th of July at 9 p.m.
Northbound to New England
- Washington DC - There's no more patriotic location for a fireworks show than at the heart of the nation's government in Washington, DC. Launching from the Lincoln Memorial Reflection Pool, this annual pyrotechnic masterpiece gives the audience a breathtaking show over the Washington Monument, best seen from the U.S. Capitol, Lincoln Memorial, and Jefferson Memorial.
- New York, NY - Macy's 4th of July fireworks are hard to beat, exploding above the iconic backdrop of New York City, over the Hudson river. This 26-minute powerhouse of pyrotechnics launches from six barges and includes the trademarked "Golden Mile" effect of showering gold explosions stretching across a mile of the river.
The Midwestern Heartland
- St. Louis, MO - For the past three decades, Fair St. Louis has been the premier 4th of July destination in MO. This three day festival on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th boasts parades, concerts, air shows and of course the fireworks extravaganza at The Gateway Arch that takes place each night of the festival.
Western Adventures
- Seattle, WA - Family Fourth at Lake Union is one of the highest rated fireworks shows in the country. Food vendors and children's entertainment start in the park at noon and local radio stations broadcast the soundtrack so that you and the other 50,000 expected spectators can get the combined effect of synchronized light and sound within sight of the fireworks.
- Pomona, CA - "KABOOM! Spirit of America" is an unconventional but exuberant celebration of independence including monster truck shows and freestyle motocross. Their nightcap is a fireworks show performed by 20 year veterans Pyro Spectaculars by Souza, who are also well known for doing the fireworks at the 2004 Olympics in Greece!
